about

Sometimes I feel discriminated against, but it does not make me angry. It merely astonishes me. How can any deny themselves the pleasure of my company? It's beyond me.

- Zora Neale Hurston -

I'm Amber Jinae. I'm a product of the late 1980s and a native of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.A. in Communication (specializing in public relations). I joyfully rocked my cap and gown in May 2011 and in December 2011 received my second B.A. (in African American Studies, social and cultural analysis).

I love music. I love art. I love going to new places with my favorite people, who may make occasional appearances on the blog.

I'm a budding fab publicist, with my own company (currently in a massive rebranding deal) and a constantly growing résumé of experience. I'm the PR Executive of AOSTL Media and I work with College Is Cool, the non-profit created by Angie Ange (from 93.9 WKYS-FM).

To make a long story short, I'm using this blog to share my experiences along my journey to success, as well as the little pieces of fab that I stumble across. After all, is sharing not caring?

I'm open to posting any new music or interesting things you may have, too, so shoot me an email and we'll see what's what. But only if it's good ... I do have standards.
