JUICE: Just Understand I Control Everything.

I've never been a serious Roscoe Dash fan -- though I'll admit to knowing all the lines to his verse in "No Hands" and having "Show Out" on my iPod -- but I'm a fan of his new project, J.U.I.C.E. EP. The seven-track project includes features from K'La, Big Sean and Wale, and isn't too bad a soundtrack for a night out. In case you were wondering, my favorite tracks are "I Do" and "Sidity." That's just my opinion, though. Check it out for yourself here or watch the video recap of Dash's listening party for snippets.

Phil Ade drops new video ... is that UPTK gear?

Phil Ade dropped a new video yesterday, visuals to his "P.O.P. Music" track with Casey Veggies. Check out the video ... I think I spot some Upperthinking gear in a few scenes! #shoutout to DMV support.

The video was directed by LCDvision and can be found on Phil's upcoming #PhilAdeFriday2 Mixtape, dropping Friday, December 30.

Phil Ade rocks a "The Power of 3" Upperthinking hoodie, shown here at the 4:25 mark.

#RANDOM: Irish Trash Cans.

I graduated from undergrad on Thursday afternoon/evening and afterward went to a local bar to meet up with friends for drinks and fun. So look, right ... an Irish Trash Can is a real effing drink.

There's nothing classy about it. Someone said it was just a Blue Motorcycle with a can of Red Bull sitting in it. From what I found online, they share a lot of similar ingredients ... all I knew was it was AMAZING. The next time we hit the bar ... I'm all over this, again.

#AmbFave: Obii Say - "Hey, I Remember You"

Obii Say is a rapper out of the DMV that I learned of through his manager, Lizee. "Hey, I Remember You" is the first track I heard from him and I loved it from the first play. Check out the visuals:

Check This Out: The Roots' Short Film for undun

The Roots - UNDUN from The Ghettonerd Company, LLC on Vimeo.
The Roots have always marched to the beat of their own drum. Unconcerned with the latest rap trends, the Philadelphia hip-hop band has always placed their art at a premium. Their latest studio album undun is no different. On Tuesday, the Roots released a black and white short film to accompany their recently released LP. Set to the album’s music the nine-minute, gritty film, which was directed by Clifton Bell, tells the story of a young man named Redford Stephens who chooses a life of crime. (via RapFix.MTV.com)

Step Your Game Up: Upperthinking.

"A man's clothes are a reflection of his state of mind," the mission statement begins; "It is his voice before he ever speaks a word." Upperthinking is the brainchild lifestyle brand of four creative minds out of Prince George's County, MD. The four men who created the brand -- and its accompanying blog -- dropped an inaugural clothing line in August. Check out the promo video below, follow them on Twitter and pick up some gear if you like what you see. In the spirit of holiday spending, save 15% on your purchase until Christmas Eve.

Oh Hey ... Lloyd Dropped a Vid for "Be The One" (+ Trey Songz & Young Jeezy)

So I openly admit that I've been a Lloyd fan since Southside. Every album is in my iTunes library, no shame. This track is actually one of my favorites off his most recent project, King of Hearts, which dropped back in July. With two of my favorite R&B artists and few bars from Jeezy ... yeah, just watch.

"Serious" by Prophecy feat. Cameron Michael

I couldn't figure out which song to post first, but this one popped into my head so I'm going with instincts here. This is a track by two artists I work with, both from around the DMV, both Terps. Perhaps it doesn't help that it's done over Slum Village's "Selfish," which I absolutely love, but this song stays in rotation on my iPod.
